Miles has a doctorate in veterinary medicine and has been working as an intellectual property attorney since 2003. Miles' legal practice focuses on all aspects of patent prosecution, portfolio management, due diligence, and opinions in biotechnology, medical technology, and medical devices. Miles was named a Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2006 and again in 2009. He previously held research positions in virology, neurobiology, and orthopedics at the Duke University Medical Center and the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
He also holds a Certificate in Law and Business from Vanderbilt's School of Law and its Owen School of Business Management.
